We are pleased to announce the second edition of Archaeometric Talks: Bridging Boundaries Between Archaeology and Other Sciences in Czechia, which will take place from 10 to 12 November 2025 at the Department of Geological Sciences, Masaryk University in Brno.

Following the success of the inaugural event in Prague (2024), we are excited to continue this emerging tradition in Brno, a dynamic centre of archaeological and scientific research in Central Europe. The conference once again aims to serve as a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary exchange among archaeologists, geologists, chemists, physicists, materials scientists, and other scholars exploring the material past.

The 2025 programme will feature four thematic areas: Stone Tools, Ceramics, Metals, and Miscellanea — a space for archaeometric research on topics that fall outside these core categories, including innovative or emerging approaches, including sections focused on geoarchaeology and paleoecology.

Each thematic area will feature a keynote lecture by a leading specialist.

We invite oral presentations and posters from researchers at all stages of their academic careers, with a particular encouragement for early career researchers and students. Contributions with a strong methodological focus, critical reflections on interdisciplinary approaches, or comparative regional case studies are especially welcome.

The conference will be held entirely in person.
