Searching for ancient seas in Líšeň
Pieces of geological evidence for three ancient seas are found in Brno-Líšeň in the form of Palaeozoic, Mesozoic and Tertiary marine rocks and fossils. On this field trip, we will trace these ancient seas, examining sediments left by the marine transgressions and looking at their fossilised fauna preserved therein. This is not only an opportunity to understand the fascinating history of our area, but also to find some interesting fossils and minerals.
